What types of instruments can be washed?
The Daan Tech Medical Thermal Washer is designed for all invasive instruments that come into contact with flesh and blood: forceps, scissors, retractors, speculums, and other surgical instruments. It is also suitable for bowls, trays, and other veterinary equipment.
What is the duration of a cycle?
Cycles vary according to your needs: 35 minutes for the Express cycle (simple wash without disinfection), 60 minutes for the Standard cycle (wash + disinfection), and 90 minutes for the Intensive cycle (heavily soiled instruments). A 60-minute maintenance cycle should be performed every 60 cycles.
What are the water and electricity consumptions?
The Thermal Washer is very economical: it uses between 3.9 litres and 5 litres of water per cycle, and between 0.32 kWh and 0.57 kWh of electricity, depending on the programme selected. It is an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution.
What is the cost of the Thermal Washer and what savings can it achieve?

Which detergent should I use with the Daan Tech Medical Thermal Washer?
The Daan Tech Medical Thermal Washer uses an exclusive automatic detergent system that works with integrated cartridges, providing 20 cycles per unit.
The products to be used depend precisely on the type of cycle launched.
- For daily washes (Quick, Standard, and Intensive cycles)You must use the Specific wash product refill. This detergent is designed entirely without biocides to preserve staff health and eco-friendly clinic purchasing.
- For appliance maintenance (Maintenance cycle) It is necessary to use the dedicated maintenance refill for cleaning the machine.
- For tool maintenance (Regeneration cycle) To restore the shine to your stainless steel instruments, you need to insert the Instrument Regeneration Refill.

Why do laundry refills last 20 cycles and not more?
This 20-cycle format has been precisely calibrated to strictly adhere to the manufacturer's prescribed product concentrations, ensuring maximum and consistent cleaning efficacy.
What is top-up maintenance and how does it work?
It incorporates a specially formulated chemical agent to thoroughly clean your Thermal Washer, ensuring it has a maximum lifespan.
Maintenance charging must be initiated every 60 wash cycles, using the specific cycle that you can select from the Thermal Washer unit's interface menu.
How does the software control loop of cycles work?
Real-time tracking The appliance's software continuously monitors safety parameters: water level, flow meter, temperature, and door lock.
Calculation of disinfection level The system analyses the thermal phase temperature curve to precisely calculate the A0 value and ensure the required safety plateau is reached (A0 = 600).
💧 Water filtration & BRITA water softener kit
How does water filtration work?
- Recommendation The use of a filter is mandatory in areas with very hard water (carbonate hardness of water above 8° KH) due to the high temperatures reached during the disinfection phase (83°C).
- Installation The BRITA filter is positioned directly at the head of the water circuit.
- Smart wear calculation The Thermal Washer automatically calculates the saturation rate of the cartridge. It cross-references the amount of water consumed with the water hardness initially entered by the customer during configuration (see instructions).
- Lifespan It varies based on your water's hardness, with a maximum of one year's use.
- Availability These filter cartridges are offered for sale as an option.
My clinic is located in an area with hard water (lots of limescale). Is it mandatory to install a water softener kit?
Only if your water has a carbonate hardness greater than 8° KH should you install a water softener kit between your water supply and the Thermal Washer.
What is included in the BRITA "softening kit"?
This kit includes the BRITA filter cartridge, the cartridge head, and all the hoses required for its connection.
What is the difference between BRITA C150 and C300 cartridges?
Filtration capacity The C150 cartridge can filter up to 1,500 L of water, while the C300 offers a capacity of up to 2,500 L.
Recommended usage: The C150 is perfectly suited to clinics with low limescale water. The C300 is ideal for areas with very high limescale water.
